    This is the story of the night war in the air. The author began operations with night fighters in 1940 and saw the development of night flying techniques under ‘Cat’s- Eyes’ Cunningham, later commanding an operational night fighter development unit and was involved with counter-measures against German night fighters.

    This officer has completed an extremely large number of sorties at night during which he has destroyed 9 enemy aircraft.
