This unique volume tells the full story of the greatest air battle in history. A team of distinguished historians and authors describe the events leading up to the assault on Britain and the history and equipment of the Luftwaffe and RAF. A detailed blow-by-blow account of the battle follows, whilst several key days and events are examined in detail and illustrated by superb dioramas. Finally, the exploits of the aces are described and items of personal memorabilia and equipment are pictured and there is a complete list of ‘The Few’. The result is a comprehensive, colourful, eclectic and memorable account of a unique battle and a fitting tribute to those who fought it.
A fascinating book to read or just dip into and enhanced by the signatures of 28 of ‘The Few’
This is a very neat collection of Battle of Britain signatures in a very appropriate book.
