Fine condition hardback book in blue covers with a Fine condition unclipped dustjacket.  The book is clean, tight and is smart in a protective wrapper. Originally this book belonged to Pete Brothers with just his signature by the medal. After the book was acquired when his library was sold in 2010, the other signatures were added at events and personal signings.

A team of distinguished historians and authors describe the events leading up to the assault on Britain and the history and equipment of the Luftwaffe and RAF. A detailed blow-by-blow account of the battle follows, whilst several key days and events are examined in detail and illustrated by superb dioramas.  Finally, the exploits of the aces are described and items of personal memorabilia and equipment are pictured and there is a complete list of ‘The Few’. The result is a comprehensive, colourful, eclectic and memorable account of a unique battle and a fitting tribute to those who fought it.
