    ATA Pilots Reminder Book

    ATA Ferry Pilots Notes
Facsimile Edition of the 1941 publication, produced by Yorkshire Air Museum in 1996. Bound with large metal rings. Book is in very fine condition with virtually no signs of wear and/or age.

This is a fascinating document; an exact reproduction of the wartime notes, a convenient aide-memoir, which enabled ATA pilots to jump into an unfamiliar aircraft and remind them of the facts and figures. The notes contain advice on handling various types of British and American engines, accident procedures, Vital Action drills, various tables and then handling notes for dozens of aircraft types including all the famous ones and some of the lesser known (Reliant??).  Any surviving copies of these notes are scarce and expensive so this is the next best thing.

    ATA Pilots Reminder Book
Genuine wartime publication issued by Chief Technical Officer ATA April 1945 (Second Edition).

Fine condition hardback book, clean and bright, issued without a dust jacket and comprises 76 pages of advice and reminders to pilots and flight engineers about handling techniques and engine operation. Illustrated with humorous Prune style cartoons. The advice is equally valid for modern pilots too!

A great pair of books to complement other important ATA sources of information such as ‘Brief Glory’ and ‘The Forgotten Pilots’ which are both available from Spitfire Books ~ please enquire.
