Fine condition hardback book with blue leather covers embossed with gold gilt titles to the front and spine. The bookplate had the original 10 signatures to which a further 16 have been added. The signatures are:

This is the most comprehensive work concerning the aircrew who participated in the Battle of Britain. This special 60th Anniversary Edition has been painstakingly revised and updated, and includes many more photographs than the 1989 first edition. Each entry includes full name, rank, position, nationality and squadron, plus a photograph wherever possible and a brief account of their service history.
An indispensable reference for any aviation library. Although superseded by the huge third edition, in the opinion of Spitfire Books, this leather bound edition is the nicest book to consult on a regular basis – it feels and smells lovely.
